Cold, wind, and a little rain made for a perfect cross day in Crystal, MN last Saturday. I ended up racing both the Cat 4′s and the Single-speeds on my single-speed which turned out to be really tough on the State Cross course. The course consisted of a decent amount of climbing, five long straight-aways, two sand pits, actual mud, and a huge run-up. I ended up racing 8 laps and had a blast. One of our crew ended up winning the Cat 3′s with an explosive last lap, well done Josh, and two more finished in the top 15. Showed up and realized my battery was dead so here is what I have.

I was able to make it out today for Hyland’s Opener which was a blast. Showed up right at 3 and was able to ride for just over 3 hours before my body made me stop. First day of the year for me and it sure felt like it. A bunch of people who I don’t see much were there and I was able to shoot some photos before the light completely ran out.

Sorry for the lack of anything for so long. I just wasn’t in the mood to post anything – working, riding, racing, and having a blast while doing it all without a camera was too nice. But it is again Winter in Minnesota which means more down time for both work and racing but more time for snowboarding and the internet. This weekend concludes my cyclocross season (until January) with the State Championships in Crystal. What is just as exciting though is that Hyland is opening on Thursday and I have the day off and if I have the right forethought I may actually take some photos of some awesome people there. Don’t expect a full come back to my blogging days of yesteryear but there will be a bunch of nice photos going up every now and again, some old, some new. Just remember Ride Fast, Live Healthy, and Have Fun.
